A third party alternative

I don’t usually get into politics, but what we have to choose from is like evil versus stupid. You can choose who falls in which category. But I’ve recently been introduced to a third party candidate that I rather like when it comes to most of his issues. If you’re one who is disenchanted with our choices, go a check out this other candidate.

Issues

Again, I’m not trying to start a political debate, just wanting to make people aware that there is a third choice if you dislike our prominent parties.

Multi-tasking

I don’t know about anyone else, but I have learned that I am HORRIBLE at multi-tasking. I can’t do it. If I have too many irons in the fire, something normally gets burned.

For me recently, it’s been my blog. I hate that I have allowed my readers and followers down. I have dropped the ball on you.  But if it’s any consolation, I have dropped the ball on a lot of people. It happens every year around this time.  I literally forget to call my family. My mother will call me out of the blue and say, “Just checking to make sure you’re alive. I haven’t heard from you in three weeks.”

As most of you know, I’m a school teacher by trade. The spring is the hardest time of year because we have testing. I am a tested subject so that means that I am side-tracked and distracted most of the spring time with work stuff. Plus my crochet business blew up for a couple months and my daughter’s birthday is today. We had her party last weekend and I will be sharing photos soon. Now that the orders have slowed, and the party and testing are over, maybe I’ll be able to get back to writing on a more regular basis.

I know this is a sad apology, but that is what I’m saying to my readers and followers. I’m sorry that I fell off the blogging world, but I’m back from the black hole I call Testing Hell.

Totally done…

So this weekend, I was extremely productive though I felt like something you scrape off the bottom of your shoe on Friday. The entire house is spotless, all the laundry is complete (I actually need more space when everything is clean, odd), I have made my swatch and done everything to it, AND finished all the math (which if you know me, you know how physically painful that part was LOL). NOW, I am ready to start! I am going to attempt my first adult sized garment. It is a sweater a friend of mine found. I will be attempting to make that in the following weeks along with perfecting my animal-making skills (which suck serious ass)! On that note…11227379_10156423519610187_4972111076919746064_n.jpg

Have a great night everyone! Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!

YARNY HAVEN

SSSSOOOOOO…..I’ve been crazy busy lately with crochet orders and just plain old life, but I wanted to share a finished project with you all because it makes me so happy!

Meet my yarn haven! In the brown box is the yarn winder my husband got me for Christmas, which is how all my yarn is so nicely organized. And he graciously put together the shelves my mom’s gift card afforded me!

I may have a small yarn shop in my bedroom, but I’m OK with that 🙂
